TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Thank you was the theme of a luncheon earlier Tuesday in Terre Haute and that thank you was specifically for local emergency crews.
The lunch was put on by Westminster Village and was intended for law enforcement, firefighters and EMS crews.
Westminster was hoping to serve somewhere around 100 people on Tuesday. They also hoped the lunch served as a way for Westminster staff and residents to say thank you in person.
“We can’t thank them enough for what they do. Not only for Westminster Village but for the greater Terre Haute community,” said Jacob Elliot at Westminster Village. “You know, it’d be impossible for us as a life plan community to function without them and Terre Haute wouldn’t be what it is without them as well.”
This was the first time Westminster held the lunch.
Those emergency responders say it’s a great feeling knowing the community supports what they do for us.
