TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Vectren’s pipeline replacement program is replacing 2,000 miles of aging systems throughout Indiana and Ohio.
Projects are currently underway in Terre Haute. We found crews in the area of 19th and 25th Streets and also Poplar and Crawford Streets.
Starting on April 3 the areas of 19th to 23rd Streets and Crawford to College work will begin.
So homeowners – what should you expect?
Service does take a few weeks however, the gas to your home will only have to be turned off for a short period of time.
After your service line has been upgraded a Vectren worker will re-light your natural gas appliances. Affected lawn areas and sidewalks will also be restored.
These projects are expected to wrap up in June.
