CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) – The possible consolidation of two Illinois school districts will be on the ballot next year.
That’s following a vote from the Palestine-Hutsonville Committee of 10 this month.
Superintendent of Hustonville Schools Julie Kraemer says the committee voted to put the question of consolidating both districts on the March 2018 ballot.
Kraemer says the committee also decided at-large would be the way school board members would be elected.
If voters decide yes on the 2018 ballot, Kraemer says the consolidation would happen in the 2019-2020 school year.
