WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTHI) – The Indiana Department of Homeland Security says use this week to plan ahead for extreme weather!
This is severe weather preparedness and flood awareness week.
The department says planning and preparing can help minimize weather-related deaths, injuries and property damage.
Easy steps you can take include building a preparedness kit, identifying shelter and practicing a safety plan.
A statewide tornado drill will take place Tuesday at 10:10 a.m. and 7:35 p.m. These drills provide a chance for families, schools, and businesses to practice their severe weather emergency plans.
