Aramark employee arrested at Putnamville Correctional Facility

GREENCASTLE, Ind. (WTHI) – An Aramark employee was arrested at the Putnamville Correctional Facility on Monday on attempted trafficking charges.

Officials arrested Tyler Shawn Bryant, 23 of Ellettsville, by Correctional Police Officers.

Officers report Bryant was found to have narcotics on him as he attempted to enter the facility. His vehicle was also searched where additional narcotics were found.

“We take trafficking into our facility very serious and plan to prosecute to the fullest extent. We are concerned the most for our fellow staff, visitors, and offenders staying safe and secure at all times,” said Superintendent Brian Smith.

Bryant was arrested for attempted trafficking with an inmate and possession of narcotics. He was taken to the Putnam County Jail and his bond was set at $10,000.

“Investigators expect to file additional charges for the additional drugs located within the vehicle,” a press release stated. “More arrests are expected for other individuals involved and the investigation is ongoing.”
