Additional charges added to suspects arrested after 9-year-old dies weighing less than 15lbs

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The suspects who were arrested after a 9-year-old died weighing less than 15 pounds in February are facing more charges.

All four suspects, Chad Kraemer, 33, Hubert Kraemer, 56, Robin Kraemer, 53, and Sarah Travioli, 30, were arrested on Feb. 22 for neglect of a dependent and neglect of a dependent resulting in death. At the time of his death, Cameron Hoopingarner weighed less than 15 pounds.

Vigo County Sheriff’s Office said during the press release that Cameron had been in their care since he was three-days old.

Since their arrest, all four suspects have had additional charges filed against them.

On Feb. 24 additional charges were filed after all four suspects test positive for drugs. And then additional charges were filed on March 6 after test results showed Cameron tested positive for methamphetamine during the autopsy.

Now, all four are facing two more counts of child neglect after two children in their care tested positive for methamphetamine.

Court documents sent to News 10 Wednesday afternoon show the children were two and five years old.
