TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A round of severe weather expected to develop across the Wabash Valley later this afternoon could be accompanied by damaging wind gusts and large sized hail.
All of the News 10 viewing area is under a marginal, slight or enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms. The severe risk indicators are issued by the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center based in Norman, Oklahoma.
At this point, the primary threat to the News 10 viewing area includes flash flooding, large sized hail, and wind gusts. Severe weather watches and warnings could be issued as the day progresses. The best chances to see strong thunderstorm activity will be between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. EDT.
